The Montafon Local History Museum
The Montafon Local History Museum in Schruns is located right next to the Alpin Lodge.
It is the largest museum in the valley and one of the oldest of its kind in the entire Alpine region.
It houses cultural artifacts from across the valley and provides information about the traditional way of life of the Montafon people.
Minster St. Jodok
St. Jodok Parish Church is the religious center of Schruns. Since 2020, it has been the first church in Austria to bear the title “Minster.”
Interior highlights include the impressive ceiling frescoes and the magnificent altars in the Neo-Romanesque style.
The new bronze bells were consecrated in spring 2026.
Montafon Legends Festival
At the impressive open-air stage in Silbertal, Montafon, the old myths and legends will come alive again this year from July 18th to August 22nd, 2026 – dramatic, romantic, and captivating!
The free shuttle bus stops just a few meters from the Alpine Lodge.
